Schedule a one-on-one yoga class with me, to recieve individualized instruction in your practice! These offerings are available online as well as in person, at a location that will be agreed upon between myself and the student. While these offerings are not listed as weekly in the schedule here, if the student would like to maintain a weekly private practice with me, this can definitely be an option! Yoga Workshop

Come join us for a Yin Yoga Workshop!

“Introduction to Yin yoga“

Discover the power of stillness in this calming and deeply restorative introduction to Yin yoga workshop! Designed for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike, this workshop offers a gentle entry point into one of yoga‘s, most meditative and therapeutic styles. Yoga focuses on slow floor-based postures held for longer periods – typically 2 to 5 minutes – to release tension in the connective tissues, improve joint mobility, and encourage a profound sense of inner quiet. Through mindful breathing, supported shapes, and guided relaxation, participants, learn how to soften habitual patterns of holding, both physically and mentally. In this workshop, you will: explore the foundational principles of Yin yoga, learn safe alignment and variations for common postures – including the use of props to get more deeply into these postures, understand the role of breath, myofascial tissue, and the subtle energy body. You will experience extended, holds that cultivate patience, presence, and deep release. Leave this workshop, feeling grounded, open, and mentally refreshed. Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is exactly what it sounds like, and is not only a wonderful style of yoga to explore, it’s a great way to help take away the winter chill! The origination of this practice was the same 26 postures were practiced twice throughout the sequence, in a room heated sometimes to over 100°! My adaptation is we choose a gentler sequence that doesn’t build a lot of heat, and simply heat our room that we are practicing in up to between 90 and 95°. Less clothing is definitely more comfortable for this practice, and I recommend bringing A towel and a bottle of water. Chilled towels with a little bit of added, lavender and peppermint, essential oils will be offered at the end of practice to help you cool off! This class will be offered on select dates at A New You Salon and Spa from 4 to 5 PM from January through March. This practice is a wonderful way to naturally help your muscles adapt to the postures, by way of being more limber, and flexible due to being more heated during the class. I will safely guide you into each posture, and you will leave this class feeling extra refreshed and rejuvenated, and possibly even warm and fuzzy!
