Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is exactly what it sounds like, and is not only a wonderful style of yoga to explore, it’s a great way to help take away the winter chill! The origination of this practice was the same 26 postures were practiced twice throughout the sequence, in a room heated sometimes to over 100°! My adaptation is we choose a gentler sequence that doesn’t build a lot of heat, and simply heat our room that we are practicing in up to between 90 and 95°. Less clothing is definitely more comfortable for this practice, and I recommend bringing A towel and a bottle of water. Chilled towels with a little bit of added, lavender and peppermint, essential oils will be offered at the end of practice to help you cool off! This class will be offered on select dates at A New You Salon and Spa from 4 to 5 PM from January through March. This practice is a wonderful way to naturally help your muscles adapt to the postures, by way of being more limber, and flexible due to being more heated during the class. I will safely guide you into each posture, and you will leave this class feeling extra refreshed and rejuvenated, and possibly even warm and fuzzy!
